A Minnesota tree worker, Tyler Lynch, 26, was killed when coworker Christopher Crimmins allegedly crushed his head with a hydraulic grapple. Police say Crimmins was fooling around by making the grapple's shadow “grab” Tyler's shadow and accidentally closed the real grapple on Tyler. Crimmins has been charged with second-degree manslaughter based on culpable negligence, not murder, because authorities believe the killing was unintentional. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
