@heidifureytattooo: This feels like one of those projects that grows so naturally over time. I met Nia at Bristol Tattoo Convention where she collected two pieces of my flash — a pair of peonies in bloom and a dahlia-inspired flower on the hand, both on long flowing stems. She snapped up a recent cancellation of mine to keep building the arm in the same organic, patchwork layout. We added a curly flowy chrysanthemum- like she’s blowing in the wind to fill out a larger space on the arm ditch, a butterfly on her hand, and some magical sparkly stars on the fingers to start weaving everything together. I love that every piece still stands alone, but they all speak the same language. The stems let everything flow across the arm without feeling too structured, and the scale stays true to the original flash pieces. Nia also collected a beautiful study of a sacred heart from my wonderful friend @adarkershade_ on the upper arm at Bristol tattoo convention. Watching different pieces come together like this is honestly one of my favourite parts of tattooing.
