This was my first time experiencing Etihad’s First Class product, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The cost for this return flight was $13,720 USD, which, considering it was during the World Cup period, I thought was excellent value for one of the world’s most exclusive First Class experiences. The A380 features just 9 private First Class Apartments on the upper deck, making it one of the most exclusive cabins in commercial aviation. Inside, you’re welcomed by a separate leather lounge seat, a large vanity, personal minibar, premium finishes, warm ambient lighting, and an incredible amount of personal space that truly lives up to the name “Apartment.” Shortly after boarding, I was presented with Giorgio Armani loungewear, welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and refreshing drinks, and given a full introduction to every feature of the suite. As soon as we were airborne, the crew personalized the rest of my journey, taking my dining preferences and preparing my onboard shower before I even had a chance to ask. The hospitality throughout the flight was exceptional, something I’ve consistently experienced every time I’ve flown Etihad. And this is only the beginning.
