Hot take, but I don't think games need to be for everyone. My mom gets vertigo playing Mario Kart and so it's just not a game for her. If this is the art style you're going with and it hurts some people's eyes, it's just not a game for them

for the sounds do generic ones for metal wood etc and add a value to each item for the category of the sound so you dont need to do 30 sounds for all the items and just like 5

Create different sound tracks for where your at like terraria. Also different noises for each ore when it’s hitting the floor and stuff would be cool, some could sound super heavy and some could be nice ear candy type sound
