to everybody saying it doesn't matter because the numbers on the back, it does matter because what if the number was on the front a lot of cards do have the numbers on the front still. Also these employees should be trained properly and they shouldn't be using ChatGPT for things like this.

the staff here in Canada are not trained either. We went through something similar here. I felt discriminated against because I am a born and raised caucation.

Are they simply taking picture of the front of your credit card and GPT identifying the cobrand product to see if that particular card has a free bag benefit so they can waive the bag charge? Airlines typically have multiple credit cards with different issuers in different companies.
