Terry was very clear with the fans when he was asked. The ending of Aziraphale and Crowley HAD TO INCLUDE Aziraphale and Crowley. It was THEIR choice to leave heaven and Hell and embrace humanity in old age somewhere in South Downs, because they were always the most human angel and demon. From day one.
