@pbtiktok40: #free #tibet This picture is a representation of the ruthless power of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This picture is a symbol of that tyrannical force that has claimed the lives of millions of innocent people, including its own citizens." "According to historical records, around 40 to 50 million people lost their lives under the rule of the dictator Mao Zedong. How can history forget this? How can the world forget this?
If you genuinely believe that China is treating Tibet well, go to Tibet and talk to the Tibetan people. Ask them if they have passports—the Chinese government refuses to issue them to 99 percent of Tibetans. Ask them about how China invaded Tibet in 1949, or ask them about politics, and they will not answer. Why are they afraid? Because they know that if they say anything the Chinese government disapproves of, they could end up in prison the very next day.
Go to the monasteries. You won't even need to ask questions—a Chinese police station sits right at the main entrance of every single monastery. It is blatantly obvious that the public's visits to these monasteries are under strict police surveillance.
Go to the schools and listen. See whether the children are speaking Tibetan or not. Inside the schools, every child is speaking Chinese. That makes it crystal clear there is no language freedom.
This is precisely why we protest against the Chinese government: all our freedoms have been stripped away, and we demand freedom for Tibet.
