Best is when a patient is going off at you for 10 mins because of the wait and when the dr comes out and apologises for the wait they say “oh that’s no issue at all”

when a patient arrives and ask hows the dr running, the drs about 20min behind today. and they get so angry and say DONT YOU CALL PATIENTS TO NOTIFY US THEY ARE RUNNING LATE,. no its just not possible we have 9 Drs on if we did that to every patient we'd have people showing up at all different times out of schedule. and we are far to busy to be tracking 9 loads of drs patients to ring everyone every 20min oh dr xyz is running late. yet they still dont understand

A patient calls us shouting that he needs to talk to the doctor urgently. We ask his name (to know which doctor he wants to talk to). refuses to give us any information. When he was told that we could not help him without knowing his identity, he said that we had just killed his family of 3 and that he was going to file a complaint against the doctor. Which doctor? We don't know. What family? We don't know either. We never heard from him again.

Specialist surgical clinic. Woman comes in with a parrot on her shoulder! Apparently it’s an emotional support parrot and is fully sterile so it’s ok to be in a clinic doing complex dressing changes!
