This heartfelt homemade soup requires no complicated techniques—just your full devotion and patience, bringing a mellow, earthy, and deeply comforting bowl of goodness to the whole family. 🥜 Ingredients for a Heartwarming Soup 1.5 kg fresh pork ribs or pork shank (chopped into bite-sized pieces for rich, savory flavor). 2 large lotus roots (peeled and sliced into thick rounds, known for their wholesome, starchy texture). 150g raw peanuts (rinsed thoroughly; soak in warm water beforehand for faster cooking). 3 slices of fresh ginger & 2 dried red dates (pitted, for natural sweetness). Salt to taste. Plenty of clean water (about 4 to 5 liters). 👩‍🍳 Quick Preparation Steps * Step 1. Boil together: In a large stockpot, combine the pork pieces, soaked raw peanuts, smashed ginger, and red dates. Cover with 4 to 5 liters of clean water and bring to a boil.  * Step 2. Skim the foam: Carefully remove and discard all surface impurities and foam as it boils. This ensures a clean, sparkling soup base.  * Step 3. Simmer patiently: Lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour until the pork starts to tenderize and the peanuts begin to soften.  * Step 4. Add the lotus root: Add the thick lotus root rounds into the simmering broth, cover, and cook for another 45 to 60 minutes until the lotus root becomes wonderfully tender and the soup turns a rich, milky hue.  * Step 5.
