The days and nights I spent as a single mother trying to understand a disability so rare that my daughter remains the only known reported case in the world—because understanding it was the only way I could advocate for her. I learned to navigate a broken system while refusing to let my beautifully made daughter become another label, another statistic, or another human being underestimated and overlooked. If I had had someone who truly believed in her—and knew how to help me—maybe I would know what it feels like to sleep for eight uninterrupted hours. Maybe my days wouldn’t demand every part of me from the moment I open my eyes until they close twenty hours later. But maybe I also wouldn’t be so hell-bent on fixing the system that failed us—or on making the world around her kinder, better informed, and genuinely inclusive. Her fight became my fight. Her life became my purpose. That is why I founded Paige of Hope and why I create videos like this one. Because music can give a voice to emotions we cannot explain. It can make someone feel understood without asking them to find the words—and remind us that beneath every diagnosis, struggle, and label, we are human beings who need one another. I cannot change what we endured. But maybe I can make sure someone else doesn’t have to endure it feeling unseen, unheard, or without hope Friendly reminder 🤍 I’m not a certified interpreter—just a special needs momma sharing my love for music and the connection signing brought into our lives. I always encourage learning from Deaf/HoH creators and the Deaf community.
