When I was 12 my dad passed away 2 weeks before my first day of middle school, at the school he worked at. It was so hard, sending love and prayers🥺🫶🏽

Today is my first day back to work, and my morning ritual was to take a lap around the plant, check in on everyone, then drink coffee in my office while I worked on spread sheets and call my husband. As soon as I walked into my office this morning I wanted to call my husband 😭

Yes this!!!!! First day of school has been hard on me it only me but my kids as well. Another punch in the gut….i picked my 9 year old up from school Friday. My boyfriend was with me and when my son opened the car door the teacher said “make sure you show your mom and dad that new math you learned” my heart instantly went to my stomach. Now this teacher didn’t know my husband passed away but it it hurt still

It truly affects every aspect of your life when it’s someone so close and personal. Everything we do from the moment they died there’s a piece of us that thinks “they should be here for this.” I hope the kids have a great school year. I’m sure this must be so hard for all of you❤️🩹

Everything is changed after the death of a person. I can’t imagine how hard it would be for kids. After my wife died, I got pictures framed for each of my grandchildren with her. My daughter went a step further and got whole picture books made for each of them.

Love, my dad died 3 years ago. Everything is weird. Christmas, birthday, first days, everything. Try to keep it up. It’s really hard and I know. But I wish someone would’ve kept his memories up for me. Now it’s just an elephant in the room. I really hope you guys are ok. All the love💜

our twins senior year and they are the ones who will never get to have dad at their graduation..everyone of my friends are so sad our kids are graduating and here I am not sad bc they are graduating, I am sad bc they were robbed of their dad being there for their last year of school💔 I hope you babies have an amazing school year and know Kyle is always walking with them ❤️
