I’m glad we’re talking about this because it’s actually so insidious that Botswana has regained nearly majority control of their natural resources from European companies only to be hit with anti-natural diamond propaganda that are intended to boost the Western-led lab diamond industry…which by the way uses Chinese and Indian exploitative factory labor.

I agree with you, but Botswana primarily sells loose diamonds to corporate clients rather than individuals. I believe that corporate clients contribute to the higher prices, making it unaffordable for people to purchase diamonds.

I think lab grown diamonds are a double-edged sword cause on surface level, it does seem like they’re the saving grace, but as you said, that isn’t the case across the board
