I’m 62, retired and recently diagnosed as AuDHD. So knowing has made me depressed and I think what’s the point to try and change things now.The stress of meds or unmasking seems more stressful then just living the way I have for 62 years.🤷♀️

I was diagnosed at 35 and have been on Vyvanse + Wellbutrin for almost 10 years. As I hit perimenopause I find my Vyvanse doesn’t work the same and makes me feel really awkward and disconnected from myself. I don’t really like taking it anymore . Do you know if there are any studies of ADHD & Perimenopause and medicine that might work best for woman in this stage of life?

My son tried concerta, aderral and vyvanse….either bad reactions or didn’t like the way it made him feel. He doesn’t want any medications (been off for 4 years). Entering college and I’m scared for him..What are top supplements?

I would love to but dont trust the professional’s that treat it. I feel like the doctors play “Russian Roulette” with medication. They say its not an exact science so they have you on doses they gave you to just wait and see if this works etc. or different medications with no real knowledge if its gonna work. We can take Tylenol for a headache. The dose, directions are universal, not a guessing game there. Its confusing.

I know of so many ppl with ADHD never heard of in the 50’s let alone treated … now 5 are in their 70’s and are quite happy in their lives, with autonomy and admission of when ‘hyped’ they just say ‘I was on a roll’ or it’s how I get so much done.. end even ‘I know my self diagnosed ADHD and I’m ok .. 🤷♀️
