I’m crying. 🥺🥹 I’ll never forget finding Zara on the side of the road injured in a ditch to the time I handed over her leash to her owner. I’m imagining Zara being sad to leave as I know she had a good and peaceful time at our sanctuary. Overall I am so grateful for her trust. It takes a lot of courage to trust a human to help you in a town where dogs are dumped or sent to shelters to be euthanized 4-10 days later if no one claims them. This is our reality her in Texas however I’ve made it my responsibility to be a voice and a light for dogs that feel like they’re waiting in the darkness for help. I’ll never forget the sound of that beep from when I scanned for her microchip. That was the sign of fate that she’d make it home. 🙏🏽 Too often microchips don’t get updated and dogs don’t make it back home but Zara was loved and being sought out for. ❤️ Our sanctuary is forever grateful for the amazing people that help us every step of the way so that I can keep working on the ground…in the battlefield defending some of the least wanted and sickest dogs on the streets. Zara made it home because she had a chip and we want all of our dogs to be chipped before they leave our sanctuary. We don’t want this to be optional which is why we make it mandatory to have every spayed and neutered dog we rescue chipped. If you are touched by Zara’s story and would like to help us microchip a rescues, please contribute anything today towards microchipping so that we can keep this added expense into our operations with continued confidence. Microchipping ranges from $35-80 dollars. 🐾 Link in bio to donate one time or monthly. 🐾Please put “microchip” in the description if possible. 🙏🏽 Thank you so much for helping us save dogs lives everyday at any time!! ❤️🐾
