If you run a team, you have been told AI is replacing jobs. I build these systems for a living, and I think that is backwards. Here is the actual split. I call it 10/80/10. 10% is you upfront. Telling it what you want, properly, the way you would brief a person. 80% is the AI doing the work. 10% is you at the back end, judging what came out. That last 10% is not optional and it is not temporary. You hire a person, somebody checks their work. Nothing about that changes because the worker is software. Will AI take my job? Here is my honest answer after building these systems for big companies. There is no way AI does 100% of the work. We are not at that stage and I do not think we get there in the next two to five years. So what actually happens to jobs? You do not lose headcount. You change what the headcount does. Somebody has to write the 10% at the front and somebody has to judge the 10% at the back. That is a real job, and almost nobody is hired for it yet. The businesses struggling with AI right now are the ones who bought the 80% and staffed neither end of it. That is a staffing gap, not AI replacing jobs.
