Here are 4 popular pasta brands I personally skip and WHY: ❌BARILLA - Simple ingredients, but their conventional wheat pasta isn't organic. Glyphosate can be used in conventional wheat farming, and I prefer to minimize potential pesticide exposure. ❌BANZA - Don't let the HIGH PROTEIN label fool you! Their conventional chickpea pasta isn't organic, and glyphosate can be used in chickpea farming. I also check for added gums, which can cause digestive discomfort for some people. ❌GOOD & GATHER - Some varieties contain added synthetic folic acid. I personally prefer unenriched pasta without added vitamins. ❌RAO'S - Great, simple ingredients! BUT their traditional pasta isn't labeled organic. Organic skips synthetic pesticides. ✅Short ingredient lists One or two ingredients.
