My mother was on a frightening flight like that and she looked to the flight attendant to hopefully get some comfort and the flight attendant was sitting down praying with a rosary in hand 😭

On a flight we hit terrible turbulence and the plane "dropped" and it happened so fast that we came up out of the seats. Felt like being dropped on a tower ride. All you heard was a collective "oh shit!" The old man next to me grabbed ahold of my hand and was like idc who you are we are doing this together. The pilot about 3 minutes later came over the speaker and was like well folks sorry about that, we hit some severe turbulence and if you need to change your drawers I wont be surprised because I think I need to. 🤣 He personally saw every single person off of that flight at the gate saying see you all next time! truthfully his humor definitely helped the situation seem less scary afterwards.

came up OUT of my seat. thought it was the end. cabin was shaking more than this. my ex husband sleeping like a baby. woke him up in a panic and he’s like “babe I promise we are good this is nothing compared to what we get on military planes. wake me up if the masks drop and I’ll help you.” the fuck you mean wake you up, FUCKING WAKE UP NOW AND HOLD MY HAND and he did 😂😂

Once had a pilot come over the intercom and say “we are about to go to the turbulence, no plane has ever crashed due to turbulence“ and then we proceeded to jump up and down for for 20 minutes

Turbulence can be compared to running over potholes. Some are bigger than others but it’s just how the road/sky is sometimes. After learning this, it’s a lot less scary.
