@ashleydaniellemeadows: I love doing the most for my children and family!! These are the memories they get to look back on for years and years to come! I’ll never apologize for going above + beyond for their happiness 🫶🏾🤍 #higheffort #higheffortmoms #MomsofTikTok #relatable
It’s worse when their father was raised my a low effort mom cause everything the high effort mom does is considered unnecessary or spoiling! Sir if u don’t get out my face bout MY kids

here’s another: secure mommas can’t share space with insecure mommas. we are all doing our things our own way and i don’t need someone in my ear criticizing.

As a low-ish effort Mom, myself. I don't think that you can't be friends with lower effort moms. I do think that you've encountered individuals who are jealous and hateful.
As a low effort mom, I love to see what high effort moms do. Y'all are inspiring! and I'd have someone to brainstorm ideas with during those times when I want to put in more effort than usual.

Agreed! But let’s all remember that effort is not only financial. It shows up mostly in everyday self imposed duties, interactions, capacity etc . ❤️That’s what makes it magical!

Because what do you mean you don’t decorate for their birthday because they’re a toddler and won’t know? Huh?

OMG!!! You are SOOOO right. I can’t tell you how many times I heard, “Aren’t you doing too much for your kids?” If they give me what I want by being good human beings I will give them whatever they want.

the thing is, I want to be the mom who goes all out for my kid. i want to do the parties and the decor and the family and friends. but the reality is that we cant afford a lot, a lot of people dont show up for us and our family, and whats the point of continuous invitations if no one is gonna show? we celebrated my daughters half birthday and her uncles, grandma, and family friend with their 2 kids showed up. not the other 20 people we invited. and a good 5 of those 20 people let us know they were busy

Every year for my daughter’s birthday we make her a homemade special gift & this year we made her a mud kitchen. My husband built it and I thought of the details and made the food rocks

I think we all define “high effort” a little differently and the expression of that can depend on your tax bracket. For me, high effort means extra-curricular activities, specialized activities, tutoring, private school, travel, all of her basic needs are met, enrichment opportunities etc. High effort to me does not mean yearly $2K+ bday parties and $3K wardrobes. If you can afford to do both, amazing.

To be clear, a high effort Mom is not necessarily someone who can afford the lavish parties and the new dance clothes. High effort means lots of time and resources, doing the hard thing instead of the easy thing. Wearing hand me downs and throwing modest parties doesn’t make you a low effort Mom.
