@daveramsey: Want to avoid poverty? William A. Galston, former deputy assistant for domestic policy to U.S. President Bill Clinton, spent decades analyzing poverty data. His conclusion: To give yourself the best chance of success, do three things: graduate high school, wait until you’re 20 to have children, and marry before you have your first child. It sounds simple, but the numbers are staggering. You’ve got a 97% chance of staying out of poverty if you follow this path. Tell your kids. Tell your teenagers. Tell anyone who needs hope and direction. And if you didn't follow this path, your past doesn’t get the final word. God does, and He’s in the business of redemption. You may have a tougher road, but with discipline, sacrifice, and a clear plan, you can still win. #successful #personaldevelopment

Except people that get married under the age of 23 have statistically a 40-50% divorce rate. So it’s hard to stay outside that poverty line when your paying divorce lawyers, alimony, or child support.

Whattttt?? Idk if he was being sarcastic but many who work in the public school see the birth certificates of these kids when their parents had them at 20 or 21. many it’s just parenT cause mama don’t put dad name on birth certificate. I say to females, graduate, go to tech school or college, be independent dependent so later you are not dependent on a partner. 🥰

I did that and got divorced by 27 and only after that I began to make money. Retired from the Marines and have a career in HR. I wish it could have been different, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be.
