I’ll just be part of the poor, old, ugly rabble. Very dystopian.

1-200k for a procedure is stupid and I want a face lift bc of weight loss but come on

I already see the backlash against the “new money face” -aging without major procedures is becoming a status symbol

This is why I just choose to not do anything. I don’t have the funds to get top tier procedures. And I would only want the best for my face.

As a 40 year old woman, I can already see this in my peer group. Huge differences in how people are aging.

Can you show what you mean using some example photos? I’m just having trouble conceptualizing this but it’s really interesting! (And a little scary)

this is dark - either as the latest novelty the rich use to separate themselves, or as maximizing identifying with your most superficial attribute - a face life doesn’t give you actual youth, just an illusion

Tangentially related- the biotech/biohacking industry. The confluence of biotech and integrative medicine will have senior citizens looking, feeling, and living better than 30 year olds without access.

I'm 55 and have had nothing. Not even Botox or lip filler. Oh, and I rarely wear SPF and tanner like a lizard in the 80s. I'm good like this, thanks.

we will also have so many older people with procedures done wrong and as they aged it would look even worse

Yeah but there is some very good work done in the $30-$60K range and some of the most expensive work is kinda mid

Woww Im early to this! . . It’s shocking, but I think the biggest difference is those that have the money to spend and look good, and those that don’t. . Then there is those that have too much money and have crazy ideas!

I am retirement age. Started thinking about a face lift..But then I see my arms, legs abdomen and wonder where does it end? Our entire body ages, not just our neck and face. So I end up looking 40 in the face, but 65 in the arms, thats not good. For my age I look way younger than most of my peers. Healthy habits, genetics, no smoking, drinking, and exercise. Maybe I will get a mild face lift, maybe not. I struggle with the vanity of it all.

While I hear you, and I could afford the top-tier Facelift, I paid under 20k for mine with a triple board certified surgeon here in Las Vegas and I couldn’t be more pleased. This video speaks to the extremes, and the chop shop, Facelift or medical tourism Facelift versus Beverly Hills/Park Avenue surgeons. It doesn’t talk about the middle of the road triple board certified surgeon with top-notch skills, not gouging.

I am 41 years old. I have had zero procedures, no injectibles and I know I am aging very well for my age. I'm not against them but I know that for myself, it makes sense to take care of myself rather than do procedures. If I do get to the point where I want them, I will wait, because science is only advancing and I'd rather wait for more advancement in techniques, technology and procedures. I do not want to play guinea pig with my face.

And most time the difference between those two groups are barriers. Barriers to finances that would allow them to get the better treatments.
