Imagine our imams appearing in public like this. I don’t even blame them; many are fighting for their personal interests and pockets. But if you compare them with the South-South, South-East, and South-West, their approach is different. They also campaign for politicians, but they don’t do it the same way our imams and leaders in the North do. Their political support is more internal and strategic, and they are often better rewarded for it than our Northern leaders and imams.
