@jakeclaverqfop: Project Ion was finalized between the DTCC and R3 in August 2022. That is the backend settlement infrastructure already running alongside stock market operations. XLM stock tokenization is not expected until 2027. Real-time settlement in 2026 runs through Project Ion which uses XRP as its primary settlement mechanism. XLM handles peer-to-peer stock transfers and consumer-facing exchange settlement later. Backend clearing house settlement between brokers is a different function and that is XRP.
