@saganasty: "Queerphrodite" I gotta start posting my art on here more. I really dig this piece, and I often find a lot more feelings of content when I finish a piece that isn't based on any references. Technically, yes, this is basically a recreation of "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli but through an expressively queer lense, but it wasn't my intention to start off as such. Right about when I drew the second arm, did I get a little bit stumped with the hand placement. I started working on the face and just started flowing. Suddenly, the earrings became a pearl and plate of gold, and my subject was wearing starfish for pasties so the hands just fell into place. I really love how every drawing is so based on your experiences and memories and skill, but the way it unfolds is pure instinct. PRAYING that tt doesn't take it down
