@nanaanarkie.parenting: Children hear love in details. 1️⃣ I thought she would say children notice happy parents by smiles or beautiful clothes. But she said: “By how parents speak to each other when they are rushing.” Because in the morning rush, people stop controlling their tone. And that is when the truth shows. 2️⃣ Some people throw: “Hurry up, we are late.” Without even looking up. Others, even in a rush, still say: “Take care.” “Text me when you get there.” For adults, it feels small. For a child, it becomes a daily lesson in how love sounds. 3️⃣ Then she said something I had never noticed. Children learn the most about family not when parents talk to them. But when they accidentally hear how parents talk to each other. 4️⃣ Those short morning phrases become their future normal. Years later, people often look for relationships that feel like what they heard at home. Not what was explained. What was repeated. 5️⃣ That is when I understood: A happy family is not always shown through big romantic words. Sometimes it is one ordinary: “Take care.” Said in a tone that teaches a child: Love exists even when it is not directed at me. Follow @NanaaNarkie for more PEACEful Parenting™. How about split custody parents that can't stand each other and would literally probably kill each other if they had any type of an opportunity, could she identify that?

And to me when you hear professionals say ‘prioritise the marriage’ it means these kind of things, because our children are learning what love looks like through these incidental moments

We always say I love you. And my toddlers always say it. Our children watch my husband and I hug. And our children do the same.

Life is not perfect wethu, if they don’t learn to take the good out of most situations and make the most with that to have better families later, that’s on them

We never part ways without a kiss, hug, I love you. Growing up this never happened. I have never heard my parents say I love you. I now never go a day without telling my son everyday that I love him.

I give them a hug then yell “make bad choices” or “I better get a call from your teacher today”. They are both phenomenal kids who love rules and the teachers find it hilarious😂🤷♀️
