The iconic “I bought the bank” line serves as a crucial emotional wrap-up to the narrative arc that began in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), highlighting Bruce Wayne’s transition from a paranoid vigilante into a compassionate team leader. This particular scene was part of the heavy reshoots overseen by director Joss Whedon, who stepped in to complete the theatrical cut of the movie. Whedon intentionally focused on adding lighter, more comedic, and classic comic-book-style moments to soften the intense, dark cinematic palette originally established by Zack Snyder. The vehicle parked in the background of the Kent farm is a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, which was part of a major product placement partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Warner Bros. Pictures for the film.
