I literally left the church when I asked for help leaving an abusive relationship and the pastor and his wife took me aside and asked what I was doing to anger him and how much I was tithing and praying for my husband. what could I do better as a wife to make him not hit me? yeah I was done with religion. I'm a witch and thriving now. 😉😁

Jesus showed himself to the women first after his resurrection, not to the men. The ancient word for “helper” that God uses to describe himself as the helper of ancient Israel is the same word that he used to describe women as helpers of man.

when my marriage broke apart 6 years ago, my pastor sat me down and told me that I needed to be fixed. he never asked what happened, just assumed that I was at fault. I never got to tell him and the elders that my then husband was violent toward me and the children cuz they were not willing to hear me out. I stopped going to that church where I was a member for over 20 years.

Hah, my pastor just preached on this today. He said yes, we should let our husband lead but if he can't, to step up And he told the men that being a man means treating your wife like a person not a doormat. He said let your wife take the lead in things that she is better at. Marriage is a partnership.

The true translation of “virtuous woman” in the Bible was meant to be “courageous/valiant woman” as the same Hebrew word used to describe David who defeated Goliath was used to describe a women that makes a man blessed.

Current pastors assign the role of women is to assist or serve. However, The Hebrew word ezer means "help," "strength," or "rescuer," and it describes a powerful ally rather than a passive or subordinate assistant. God was described as Ezer.
