I was fired for having a miscarriage scare, I called from the hospital and told them I wasn’t going to be able to come in and told them why, I was then asked the question “so you’re going to be late? Or not coming in at all?” As if I wasn’t in the hospital thinking I was losing my child.

I was “let go” for having a heart attack and being in the hospital for 11 days and out of work per my dr for 4 weeks cause of major restrictions… yeah thanks guys

I passed out on the floor and asked someone to call medical. They didn’t. They got my supervisor and walked me out and told me to get myself to an ambulance.

Had horrible jobs but an amazing one, my dog was about to pass away, I was super broke had just spent all my savings moving and the emergency vet wouldn’t help unless I paid them upfront. It was 11 PM and idk why but I called the owner of the company I worked at and without even a second to think she told me to put it on my company card. I got the next day off paid. Also, my dog is perfectly healthy now 7 years later 💜 I no longer work for them but the owner will randomly text or call me every few months to catch up on life 💜 I love her!

I got fired at my last job for accusations of "throwing food" at customers and "breaking" the sandwich toaster. the toaster was always breaking down and the "throwing food" was the fact that I accidentally dropped a sandwich after removing it from said toaster, which left a 3rd degree burn. they also said that it was because i wasn't smiling at work, that was because I had just lost a family member and was at her funeral the day before.

Wholesome one for you, i call my boss at 6pm on a bank holiday Monday saying my partner had gond into labour 3 and half weeks early, then proceeded to call him 3 hour later tell him he was born early, asked if i got take the tuseday off as i didnt leave the hospital until gone 2am , woke up to message from saying to take the rest of the week paid come back on the following Monday and to start my pat leave when my son was released from NICU

Wasn’t fired, but I show up to this job I’m there for a week with NO TRAINING. Manager comes in asks me to do something, yelled at me because I was doing it wrong. I said well it’s not in my job description. Started yelling at me because “anything I was trained to do was part of my job description” I wasn’t trained for shit. I walked out

I got fired because I called and said I couldn't get to work because I had a flat tire. I was driving my mom's car and she was out of town. Her tires had locks on them and we couldn't change them. I called around everywhere and no one could get them off without demolishing the wheels which my mom didn't want. I called very early to let them know, this was before Ubers and Lyfts and we had no public transportation. Taking a cab would have cost me over $100 there and back. My manager called me every hour complaining about me not coming in. I never took off work AND took it upon myself to learn 4 other jobs to help when those 4 people were out sick. One of our part-time employees was on illegal substances and would just not show up sometimes, no call or anything and when he did show up he was late and did mediocre work. He did this off and on for 8-10 months but he kept his job.

I got fired from a cashier position the 3rd week post training.. the person that trained me/ was assistant manager jumped on my till to assist me with a problem I was having and refused to let me log out (which was what we were supposed to do anytime anyone other than ourselves used are till) and he stole money out of the register, the manager reviewed the security footage saw that he stole the money the fired me because I didn't log out (he literally blocked me from doing so) & he would never do that (video proof he did) & hes been an the store longer.
