NGL for some guys who get paid to talk sports , you’d think they’d Atleast understand football. They traded their best player away ..k? So they’re tanking/ rebuilding .. why put your young QB out there to get Hurt when you can put your 40 mil QB out there and get a top 5 pick to help rebuild. Sanders probably wins more games so it hurts the rebuild.. you’re also taking a chance , it’s extremely small that Watson finds his game again and now you have a top 10 QB in the league . This is a win for sanders long term.

As a 45 year old die hard browns can I agree. Not just because of Watson but because of the owner Haslam which had been the worst thing that has happened to the browns since Art Modell moved them to Baltimore.

Sanders is a second year qb. He has done what MOST second year qbs have done. Some highs, some lows. I don’t get why you wouldn’t roll with him. They are stalling his development for no reason. It’s not like they’re making the playoffs.

Starting Watson makes zero sense. As soon as his contract is over he's out of the league. So this whole "oh it was because of the money" is just dumb. The fans hate Watson, the browns have to pay him no matter what. Roll with Sanders and it's win/win. Either he plays great and you can build around him next draft, or he plays terrible, gets you a better draft position and you can go after another QB.
