Fyi there are ads now running in Canada to convince us to move our reliance on US tech companies to ones in Europe. I for one am giving serious consideration to transferring my internet stuff to European. And I am old, trust me my kids will not hesitate to move to European.

I’m Canadian and my understanding is that these tariffs on Jan 1st/27 are in addition to the 50% tariffs that he just placed on Canadian goods. I’m not seeing where he canceled the existing 50% tariffs?????

The tariffs came into effect Friday night (09/21) when we walked away from the trade talks. These January 1, 2027 tariff threats would be in conjunction with the one already in place. I do believe that he will taco at some point before the midterms because Canada is no longer playing nice and can implement a host of tactics not previously used that will cause maximum pain. He calls "affordability" a Democrat hoax, but we all know that the everyday American is suffering and Canada can directly cause that pain to increase exponentially right before an election. 🇨🇦

If anyone read trumps art of the deal book in it trump says at the last minute of a deal you add some things the other party doesn't want but the deal is so close that they will except them. He tried this with Canada and it didn't work.
