Tip: on Vinted you can also search by picture. If I can't find the exact item I'm looking for by keywords, I will download a picture of it (often from whatever inspired me on Pinterest) and look for it that way.

I’ve found so much crazy stuff on vinted people incorrectly tagged 😭 because I have a really sharp eye and can pick stuff out. got a real vintage mink 1950s stole probably worth over $100 for $4 because the seller thought it was faux fur but I knew the second I saw it that it was real

Depop has an algorithm that adjusts to what you like tbh, it even naturally adjusts the price range. It takes time to build it but mine has made it very easy.

Specifically for leather goods, I really like searching by brand! Leather is not well regulated and almost any quality of leather can be labeled as “genuine leather.” Find brands that make/made good quality leather goods and find stuff like that!!

I feel like this also helps make for more original looks. labeling a piece as one specific aesthetic puts each style in a box and then all the vampy girls look identical instead of being a spectrum of different vamps....
