I once worked in Mombasa many years ago and had this conversation with a local guy at my local eatery in Mtamboni.. his position was that Pwani is the best place in the world and that upcountry people were taking their jobs… I asked him if he has tried to look for opportunities outside coast akasema yeye hawezi tafuta kwingine.. kama huko kwingine kungekua kuzuri hao wengine hawagekuja coast… and that is the problem… you’re thinking local instead of branching out to other places as well
