I helped my fiancée get past this mindset. We play a lot of Monopoly together on our iphones. The game of Monopoly will teach you have to make multiple offers to others and find what other people want to get your desire result or outcome. My mindset equation is Velocity(Speed) X Volume (Offers) X Visibility X Vision (Focus) X Value = Abundance of Wealth.

Disagree. I have a service based business and never had to market it. It’s funding. We don’t get the funding our other peers get and sometimes it’s hard to sustain. We have the resilience to keep a business open when we have the funds to operate it.

I’ve actually designed my business in a way were the client acquisition process to have less friction so I can get to a Yes or No faster. That way I am also not spending time in the tension that holds me back. So far it’s made me feel more confident and secure in my growth to learn sale/selling.

I think another problem as well is, too often we feel if our family and friends don’t support, why would strangers? That mindset holds us back as well. Your biggest supporters usually be the people you don’t know. So if fam and friends don’t engage or buy, it’s ok. It’s not for them anyway. Taking that thought away, will build more confidence to be seen and sale.

Years ago, my mentor told me it was selfish to withhold my genius from people purely because I was afraid to sell. Never had an issue after that. I’ve now helped thousands. Some people NEED what you have to offer, you’d be doing them a disservice by not selling to them.

I love this conversation because we have to get out of this mindset. For me it’s always thinking everything has to be perfect before I sell or do anything. So I got to the point after being around other people doing it everyday, that as long as I can say I put my best foot forward and tried, then it’s perfect for now. And that’s good enough.
