I've been practising Islam for years, and one of the things that amazes me most about Islam is the deep love and respect it teaches us to have for Jesus and his mother, Mary. As a Muslim, I believe Jesus (Isa) was one of God's greatest prophets and messengers, and Mary (Maryam) was a woman of extraordinary faith, purity, and devotion to God. It is beautiful to me that respecting and loving them is not separate from my faith—it is an important part of it. This is something I deeply appreciate and admire about Islam.
