@techniahqrobot: AgiBot taking on the 400m Obstacle Race at the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing. This course is brutal for a humanoid robot. The robot has to deal with changing terrain, ramps, stepping obstacles, tires and elevated platforms while constantly adjusting its balance and foot placement. One bad step can end the run. The Shanghai AgiBot Team pushed through the course and finished second in the 400m Obstacle Race final. This is one of the most interesting tests at the Games because raw running speed is not enough. The robot needs perception, locomotion control, balance and recovery working together for several minutes.
