@happinessproject: Sometimes the things we survive don’t immediately make us feel stronger. Sometimes they leave us exhausted. More anxious. More guarded. More afraid. Sometimes they change the way we see ourselves, other people, and the world around us. And that doesn’t mean you’re weak. Healing isn’t always about becoming “stronger” because something painful happened to you. Sometimes healing is slowly learning how to put down the weight you’ve been carrying for far too long. You’re allowed to admit that something hurt you. You’re allowed to grieve what you lost. You’re allowed to need help carrying it. And if that weight has become too heavy to carry on your own, please reach out. Talk to someone you trust, a therapist, counselor, or mental health professional. Asking for help isn’t giving up… it can be the beginning of things getting better. You don’t have to heal alone. 💛
