About a month ago my wife told me she needed time and space away from me and for me to show her consistency to allow her to feel safe with me emotionally again. I have worked so hard on getting rid of old habits and trying to become a better man due to how I’ve been for quite a while now but last week she told me she no longer sees me as her husband and only sees me as a coparent. 12+ years and for the first time in our relationship she is choosing her own peace and happiness. As heartbreaking as it is I can’t be upset with her decision. It took her leaving for her parents house for me to actually make some changes and unfortunately it was too late. I have to continue to grow and better myself everyday for my daughter.
