No traditional men helped with house work. That’s just how much it takes and these days we don’t kick out kids outside and to walk to school by themselves.

"work hard all day" the work is to be with the kids. My husband and I makes dinner together, I clean the house and do chores how much I can. Three firsts months I barely stand from pain. So yes my husband is helping about money, but what about the mental loads? My husband say do what I can do and then we do it together.

The ONLY thing is, is that men in these roles usually go to work, have a break at work, and then come home and do nothing at all.. apart from relax. Mums don’t stop, it’s 24/7 with no break.. so it’s not actually an equal division of labor at all 🤷🏻♀️

When I wasn’t working I would do my best to help clean the house but some days I couldn’t keep up. He comes home and helps. It’s a team effort to keep up with the house. It’s not about one or the other person. You two are a team. Not every day is going to be perfect but try your hardest. The idea that cleaning the house is only one’s persons job is ridiculous lol I love a clean house and love my man happy the least I can do is try my best to make sure I’m keeping up with the cleaning while I’m at home. He does the same 🥰

why? jobs aren’t some special thing? even if he wasn’t married and had no children he would still have to work and come home and take care of his living space. her job is raising babies not maintaining a perfect home.

yes. but also no. when you have multiple kids he should definitely be helping. 100% of the time doing it alone is so unrealistic and exhausting!! I don't make my husband come home and clean or cook. but when he gets off work at 3pm which is most days, he's helping with the kids at the very least. and the weekends he's helping with the house!

Hey guess what? Men are capable too. I have so much respect for my husband, but he can also help clean and cook too. Everyday? No, but im not the ONLY one making this house dirty. I didnt get HIS clothes dirty and hes not a child.
