Mixing baking soda and vinegar neutralizes their effectiveness. Do one or the other, not both at the same time.

I read that baking soda and vinegar counteract each other. Vinegar is all that’s needed.

Just a little FYI, you shouldn’t mix baking soda and vinegar together to clean your vegetables because they basically cancel each other out. The baking soda is based and the vinegar is an asset so when you combine them, they neutralize each other. You better off using them separate separately if you’re gonna use them at all.😊😊

I do this in a regular bowl! But just two cap Fulls of vinegar and then cold water. Let it sit for 2 min rinse twice with clean water. THEN LET DRY! Then put a paper towel in the bottom of a mason jar, add fruit and lid. Lasts one month!

I have been using this method for a few years and I have not had throw out fruit. My favorite are the grapes, they continue to have that firmness that I love.
