can't believe you guys don't know about this. A woman, an extra, had a life altering injury when a production accident paralyzed her for life due to a cable snapping. Because of this they abandoned the filming of this shot and re-used a shot from one of Bay's other movies. Yes she was MASSIVELY compensated but no amount of money is enough

Can confirm, the original shot was shot for transformers. I lived in the area where the shot was shot in Northwest Indiana off Cline Ave, and it was filmed for Transformers

it was actually done on purpose. Cause there was an accident shooting transformers so they used the shot of the island instead of taking a risk for another dangerous scene.

Yeah - it was done for a good reason. Something about one of the extras/stunt people having a serious accident (like paralysis serious) so Michael Bay needed to recycle footage. Look it up.
