Albert Kaelo was leading a safari through Naboisho Conservancy, Kenya, when he saw a topi with her freshly born baby. Dramatic footage captured the moment two predators circled the vulnerable calf hoping to separate the mother from her child. Despite managing some brief attacks on the calf, the jackals were eventually chased from their potential meal by the topi. Albert said: "A topi just gave birth away from the group inside some cover of whistling thorn acacia when a pair of jackals saw an opportunity for an easy meal.
