@faithcineflix0: There are few stories in Scripture as heartbreaking as the story of Judas. Judas walked with Jesus. He heard Him teach. He witnessed miracles. He was given a place among the disciples. And even when his heart began drifting toward betrayal, Jesus continued to give him opportunities to turn back. That’s what makes Judas’ story so painful. Jesus didn’t force Judas away. He gave him choices. He warned him. He reached for him. Again and again, there were moments where Judas could have chosen differently. But eventually, Judas allowed his heart to be consumed by something darker. And then comes one of the most chilling moments in The Chosen. Jesus tells Judas, “He has you now.” Judas asks, “Who?” And Jesus answers: “Not God.” That line hits differently. Because sometimes the greatest battle isn’t between being good and being evil overnight. It’s the slow accumulation of choices — the moments we ignore conviction, the compromises we justify, the warnings we dismiss, and the doors we willingly open. Judas wasn’t abandoned by Jesus. He chose to walk away. And perhaps that’s the warning hidden inside his story: God can give us chance after chance, but He will never force us to choose Him. Judas had walked beside the Light itself… and still chose the darkness. The tragedy of Judas is not simply that he betrayed Jesus. It’s that he had been given every reason not to. “He has you now.” “Who?” “Not God.” A reminder that the enemy doesn’t always drag us away from God in one dramatic moment. Sometimes, he simply convinces us to take one more step away. And another. And another. Until we no longer recognize how far we’ve gone. ✝️ Choose wisely.
