@rescue.ranch0: Bleeding From His Eyes And Nose, He Was Stumbling BLIND Into Everything He Could Not See... A Good Samaritan spotted Destin outside alone, struggling to walk and running into objects around him. They posted about him on social media and reached out to rescuers, who immediately agreed to help. When they arrived, what they found was devastating. Bloody discharge was coming from both of Destin’s eyes and his nose. His tiny body was severely malnourished, and simply holding himself upright took nearly everything he had. He wasn’t orienting to his surroundings, and it appeared he could only make out light and shadows. Destin should be at an age where kittens are growing, climbing, and gaining weight every day. Instead, he had been starving while a severe upper respiratory infection took hold of a body with almost nothing left to fight it. Bloodwork is being run immediately, and his rescuers are extremely concerned about possible organ damage or failure caused by prolonged dehydration and starvation. Until those results return, they won’t know how much damage has already been done. Destin will need fluids, antibiotics, treatment for his eyes, careful refeeding, and close monitoring over the coming days.
