@lifegoalinvestments: The Fed CANNOT afford to raise rates at its September meeting—and here’s why. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s move could put even more pressure on short-term rates. Clearly, this is my opinion—not financial advice. @Rhoback , thanks for the shirts- they’re incredibly comfortable. #FederalReserve #InterestRates #Markets #Investing
don't worry trying to finesse the yeild curve will increase the yeild on short term bonds anyway

so were in a no win situation now... lower rates- run away inflation, raise the rates and crash the economy

The Fed won't raise, but Bessent's fiscal drain is already behaving like a synthetic 25 bps hike behind the scenes.

Because Scott said doesn't mean it will happen. Wouldn't be the first time this administration has lied.

Odd. As a consumer, if my debt is higher than my income, I’m considered a credit risk and am charged a higher interest rate on any loan I ask for.

So the treasury is borrowing a little bit of money in order to buy the long term bonds cheaply by themselves( because nobody would otherwise buy them), and hope for what? That when it comes to the 10 year bonds, buy them again until there’s only the short term borrowing left?

Incorrect, they are buying back debt and retiring it using cash raised by tariffs and oil sales.

Apparently your not taking into account the trillion dollars sitting in the general fund that treasury is using. I’m not sure where your getting your information but this is widely reported at this point

Nobody buys YS bonds except US. That means printing more money which cause inflation in US and the US dollar loses value on the international market. Its a slippery sloap down into the abyss.
