I worked at a Lakota school when this all happened. I worked along side one of Mr. Burnside’s sons who was also a special ed aide. The whole family are amazing people and did not deserve this. The Lakota superintendent, Ashley Whitely is absolutely deplorable in my opinion.

What CBS failed to do with this story is apply the pressure to the school board and Superintendent for this district. If I was Rob, I would consider getting legal counsel for the firing.

They most likely fired him because the boy wasn't enrolled and they weren't getting the government money for that student. He was getting a truly free education. Just proves the motivations behind the public school system. It's not about the kids and making sure all kids grow up with an education otherwise they would've figured something out.

I really appreciate everyone support. It was really hard for me but i kept working and doing the right things because i knew it was gonna get better. And the story is mostly about doing the right things and god will take your hand no matter how long it takes. It took me freshman year to end of sophomore to get an blessing. And i dont want any of you to give up and go the wrong path ALWAYS DO THE RIGHT THINGS AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED.
