Am I a masochist for designing a project where I would have to whip-stitch into oblivion right before the party? Perhaps. Was it worth it? Absolutely. This hat was constructed using EVA foam, velvet, leather vinyl, horse hair, millinery wire, lace, and sequin trim. The resulting confection is something I truly adore. I want to make more pieces like this!
