No professor can be so bad to make me change my MW class schedule. 😌

What if the current professor is the only one that offers the class?

depending how niche the subject is or how small the university is. sometimes there's only ever one option😭

I had 2 required classes taught by the same Professor and she was awful. 'I don't believe in As' awful. but there was no option.

I had to drop a prof bc mine was racist. Thankfully I waited and now there’s a new professor for the class. Also drop those 8 ams!

I always preferred to stay in the classes and reeducate the professors.

When it’s an option sure my small college only has 2 engineering professors I have classes with both don’t really like both but next year is my last year for graduation so I’ll have to stick it out 🥀

I do not like this advice. Imagine a student that doesn’t like his professor because the professor is LGBTQ or because the professor holds a particular religious belief that the student disagrees with. Students should experience a wealth of viewpoints. Dropping classes on the first day disallows that. Moreover, I would argue that one class period is not sufficient for knowing whether a professor will be “good” or not.

I dropped classes a couple times. Once I saw the syllabus before the semester started and the professor had a huge final paper and exam for the course and I said nope

Bad advice. I certainly agree with dropping classes if you find things aren’t going to work out, but after the first class is just too soon.

Hi! I have a question. If I drop one class and replace it with another 3-credit class before the drop/add deadline, would my financial aid still be distributed as normal? I haven’t received my financial aid yet, and I’m not trying to drop below my current hours, I just want to switch to a different class. Would changing the class affect or delay my financial aid?

At a community college my bio psych professor started the first class saying he hated teaching and never wanted too. Then proceeded to go over the syllabus and assignments for the semester and nothing matched up or builded together.. only time Iv ever dropped a class.

Sometimes I feel bad that students love me on the first day. I always think, "They don't know i'm a hard grader yet. *maniacal laughter*"
