Happens during dry season when cows haven't eaten green grass/leaves for a while. You will take them to the river once they drink water you may find how to transport them back home ( They usually don't die but will have no energy to move). The just lay down and the legs got no energy at all , you will have to feed them green grass/leaves for at least a month before they can move again.

1 day we spread maize to dry and the goats happened to sneak in and eat them... When my grandfather heard about it he said they should be locked in for 3 days, they should not eat or drink any water.. 3 goats escaped and they all died
