@steph.chagas: I’ve seen a few people asking why we patch Chloe’s eye, so I wanted to explain. 🤍 Chloe has something called intermittent exotropia, which basically means that one of her eyes will sometimes drift outward. Right now, her doctor has us patching her right eye for 30 minutes every day. By covering her right eye, we’re encouraging her brain to use her left eye more, which helps that eye develop stronger vision. She also has mild nearsightedness, which is why she wears her little glasses. 👓 Her glasses help her see more clearly while her vision is developing, and the patching gives her left eye a little extra workout. She’s still so little and her vision is developing, so we’re doing everything we can now to help both of her eyes learn to work together!🥹🤍 #eye #eyepatch #eyepatches #specialneeds #hearing
