Similar experience. I currently use Kubuntu. I only have 32 gb ram and Ryzen 7. Barely uses any of it.

Leftist Artifacts :
The undisclosed tracking tag that bypasses VPNs was th last straw for me. I just switched over to Linux, replaced OneDrive with Nextcloud, Office with OnlyOffice, and while I was at it, I dumped Chrome for Vivaldi, Google Photos for Immich, and I'm slowly changing everything over from my Gmail account. I'm tired of being watched and paying for it.

i have Zorin for a few weeks. only thing from Windows i am missing is the GPU section of Task Manager. I didn't find it on the system monitor. maybe someone knows a good program that has a GPU monitor included

You're slightly short on RAM because you're using swap on zram, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The excessive RAM usage by the Gnome desktop is due to a misconfigured parameter; Gnome actually uses 1.5GB.

My current specs are i7 13700k, 64gb RAM and an Nvidia RTX 5080. specs can matter for old setups but it does not have to be the specs to be a reason to choose something else, i am on NixOS mainly with windows 10 for 1 or 2 games sometimes. i just stopped tolerating Windows for certain decisions, exactly why i will not go to win 11 and if i have no choice it will be a separate device on a locked down network on my firewall.
