At the end of the day, vaccination rates in the US are on the decline and parents want more control over when and what their child is receiving. Vaccines should be separated if that means more people will vaccinate because they have the ability to control what their child is receiving. Isn’t it better to separate so parents can give just the pertussis vaccine or just the measles vaccine vs. opting not to give the vaccinate at all? Also, I understand combo vaccines are easier, so why don’t pharmaceutical companies offer both combo and separate?

What is wrong with giving parents and doctors more options when it comes to vaccines? If you want all three you can still get it in one does and now you can also spread it out. The government is not telling you what to do, it is giving people options.

Why don't car dealers offer cars with individual tires? I'm the consumer and if I only want the rear and driver front tires, why should they force me to buy all four. I know it sounds like a convincing argument for choice, but it just isn't built on reality any more than a three-tired car. They grouped the vaccines because it was safe and effective to do so and because it reduced the number of interactions needed, they are generally given about the same time, all of which protects both the child and the public health. Nobody was even asking for individual shots (as far as I know) until Trump and RFK demanded 'three-tired cars'.

A few months ago, a 7 yr old little boy was in the PICU with measles encephalitis. I’m not sure whether or not he pulled through. When asked if she would get her son vaccinated if she had it to do all over again, she said absolutely not. While I’m frustrated with the antivax movement, I do wholeheartedly believe that the majority of these parents are good, loving parents who love their children as much as parents who vaccinate their children. The mixed messaging along with some grifters has just done serious damage to their trust in medical science. It’s just heartbreaking ❤️🩹
